Unemployment Statistic BS

Once again this phony statistic is being trotted out, and I'm getting kind of sick of it. This unemployment figure does not take into account the people not on centrelinks payroll. This includes underemployed, people not eligible for newstart allowance, anybody who is on an 8 week administrative breach as well as anyone on Work for the Dole programs. Work for the dole is not counted because centrelink give you a whole $20.80 per fortnight for the WFD program, and therefore you are being paid for your work (regardless that the money doesnt even cover the cost of a multi trip bus ticket). This statistic is a load of BS and our government is quite happy for us to be misled, given that the real unemployment rate is probably a couple of points higher than what it is purported to be.
